Proverbs 16:9 (NLT)
“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps”.
One thing I have learned in life. “If I keep God in the middle of my life and everything that comes with it, God will direct my steps”. This is such an easy principle but so hard to do when we want control. Notice my first sentence states, “I have learned”. Trust me it has been a process, a long process, but God is faithful and so patient with us. He has plans for us and he knows we may not get it right all the time, but He loves us and wants to prosper us according to Jeremiah 29:11. I want to lead you through a journey of putting God in the middle of your life. I feel in my heart that this is so needed today in our society. I see many people seeking in the wrong things of life and living their lives stuck in a cycle of depression, anxiety, stress, and not getting anywhere in life. All along wondering how it was that they ended up where they are. I want to point us to the idea of Putting God in the Middle of Our Life so that God Can Direct Us. This can be so beneficial spiritually. Think about it! We literally kill ourselves to be physical fit, starve ourselves to be thin, and all so that we can be physical healthy. Oh and this is good trust me but, we fail to do this for our spiritual lives. Starting today I want for all of us to build spiritual habits that will bring our spiritual health back to where it should be. In this devotional series we will look at: Prayer, Studying God’s Word, creating a dependence on God, putting into practice Obedience to God, serving God and others, and lastly becoming God’s Ambassador. It’s my prayer that you make the choice to bring your spiritual health back up where it should be. Until tomorrow Blessings Pastor Fernando Charles II
God I want you to be the center of my life. This means the center of my marriage, my relationships, my children’s life, my work, my recreation time, my personal time with you, even when I think no one is looking. Help me to make good choices in life, that they be divinely directed by you and not by me. You Guide My Steps Everyday, Every Moment. In all that I do be pleasing to you. Amen.
