Be Imitators Of God

Ephesians 5:1 (NLT)

Living in the Light

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.”

Good afternoon mighty warriors of the Faith.  I have said it many times to many people.  To survive this life we must have a relationship with God our we will fall into temptation and fall  into the darkness.  I speak to you today from a lot of experience in this myself.  We must be Imitators of God.  Jesus’ own words in John 15:5(NLT), “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

If we are not imitating God we are imitating our own fleshly desiries.  Oh and by the way that is called sin.  Let us focus on the one who died for us, gave his life for us.  Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus.  The son of God, our rock, our shield.  The one who defeated sin and death.  The one who hung on the cross, died, and that the devil thought it was finished but Jesus rose on the third day went down to hell and took the keys away from the devil and looked the devil in the eye and said, what’s up devil”.  Jesus who had made us more than conquerors.  My friends we must Live In The Light.  When we know the truth it will set us free!

Be blessed today, chaplain Fernando Charles

Living By The Power of The Holy Spirit

Good morning mighty warriors of the Faith.  Today I’m choosing to make a change in my life.  For many years I have dealt with two big issues, anger and and my weight.  Today I’m tired of holding on to them and I want to give them to God.  And I want to show you how I’m going to do this so you can do the same.  Read with me our verse of the day.

Living by the Spirit’s Power

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

Galatians 5:16 NLT

It is my sinful nature that holds me back from truly giving my all to God.  When I’m angry my mind is not on the things of the Lord my focus is away from God.  When I eat food that is not good for me or drink soda, these things are harming my health.  Then I’m not a good steward of this body God has given me to take care of.  So everyday I must let the spirit of God and his power lead me, so that when I feel anger developing in me I will keep my eyes on Christ.  When I am going to eat, I’m going to choose healthy foods.  I will only drink water, I’m going to allow the spirit of God to give me the strength to make great decisions.  My friends, today choose to be lead by the spirit and his power so that we can sin less.  We are all sinners according to God’s word but living by the power of the spirit, we can sin less.

Blessings to you today Chaplain Fernando Charles.

The Lord Is Our Shield and Strength

Good morning Might Warriors of the Faith.  In the hands of the warrior, the shield was a very effective weapon.  Not only was it meant for defence, but could be used with great force.  In battle the shield was very vital to have and use.  The same is with our spiritual walk with God.  Warriors read with me or verse of the day.
Psalm 28:7-8 (NLT)

The Lord is my strength and shield.  I trust him with all my heart.  He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.  I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.  The Lord gives his people strength.  He is a safe fortress for his anointed king.”
In our walk with God he is our shield and strength.  So as we suit up in the morning by putting on the full armor of God, which is trusting fully in him.  Our faith becomes our shield.  Our knowledge of God, by not just carrying the sword, but studying it, becomes our greatest strength in combination.  This is how we will “resist the flaming arrows of the evil one”as Paul says in Ephesians 6.  Knowing this gives us strength.  Today know that our strength and joy come from the Lord.  Blessings to you today, chaplain Fernando Charles.
