Hold On To Christ

image

Good morning mighty warriors of the faith.  Today let us hold on to Christ. In my quiet time with God and in my devotional studies God has begin to show me what his heart’s desire is. His desire is that all come to him and love him and worship him. But I’m beginning to see a society of people who are moving far away from God. People who are challenging to take on life by them self without God. I want to encourage you today to reach out and hold on to Christ, let us look today at our Verse of the Day.
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3:17 NKJV
Christ came to save the world, he came to heal the sick, to heal the blind, and he came to set men free.  God is still here today waiting on us to come to him and he is willing to take us from where we are. We don’t have to become holy to come to God , we don’t have to clean our life up to come to God. We just need to come to God. Many people today find themselves with burden situations in their life that they can’t control I feel lost. Only if they would just to the one who can save them. Only if they would just let go of the sin in their life. And come to Christ the way the truth and the life and the only way to the father.  Today I want to encourage you like everyday Christ is here waiting for you.  No matter where you are in life he is willing to take you and to take care of you. Be blessed today Chaplain Fernando Charles.

Be Kind, Encourage Others

Good morning mighty warriors of the faith.  Can you imagine a world where everyone helps out someone else? I recently saw a post on Facebook about a wounded vet who hardly could mow his yard.  For weeks he struggled.  Someone anonymously bought him a riding lawn mower.  He was moved to tears. I even was moved to tears knowing that there are still folks who care for others.  Read with me our Verse of the Day.
“We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.”
Romans 15:2 NLT
I love how this verse instructs us, “We should”, not “if you want too”, but, “we should”.  You see I can see a world that helps others and guess what, it starts with you and me.  “We should” be this way every day, helping others, encouraging others, loving others, showing acts of kindness.  We should.. Today it is my prayer that you join me in the “building up” ofothers, so that we can lead them to the savior.  Share God’s love with someone today.
Blessings to you today Chaplain Fernando Charles.

Living In Harmony!

image

Good morning mighty warriors of the faith.  Well we’ve made it to Friday. As we come into the weekend I want to encourage you about Unity. Unity is something very important that Christ wanted us to understand. The second part of the greatest Commandment that he gave us talks about loving others such a key understanding to our Christian faith. Read with me our
“May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:5-6 NLT
Can you imagine if we were all in one Accord, and in harmony together with the Lord, how would our praise sound, How would helping each other look like?  This weekend as we get ready for family gatherings, birthday parties, and church functions let me encourage you to be in unity with one another. Let us strive, beginning today, to live in unity with each other in Jesus Name.  Today let us lend a helping hand, a smile, or something that will encourage and uplift others today. As you strive to live like Christ be blessed today Chaplain Fernando Charles.

Love, It’s What God Wants Us To Do

image

Good morning mighty warriors of the faith.  God has commanded us to love one another from the beginning. We see love in the Bible in Genesis when God created the Heaven on the Earth and men and women.  We see that also in Revelation when Jesus comes back for those who have accepted Christ in their life. God is love which means that he loves you and me. Christ himself even commands us to love. In the book of Corinthians there is a chapter that is dedicated to love. End of the fruits of the spirit the greatest of them is love. Let me share with you today the verse of the day.
2 John 1:6 (NLT),Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.”
Love is so important to God he wants us to love one another. It is my prayer that this weekend strive love your neighbor as yourself. Let us love just as Christ has shown us and let us love just as God has commanded us.
Blessings to you today chaplain Fernando Charles.

There is hope in God’s word!

image

Good morning mighty warriors of the faith. I just want to be a testimony today to you of how encouraging God’s word is in my life. My goal is to encourage you every day but the fact of the matter is that I need encouraging myself. Through my study
time today for you I came across this verse that encouraged me. To always seek God’s word because in it there are things that we can glean from it every day encouraging things God’s promises. Read with me are verse for today.
Romans 15:4 (NLT)
“Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.”
As we wait for God let us continue to do the work of the Lord and constantly go back to his word for encouragement for hope and for God’s peace in our life. Today no matter what you face go to God’s word because they’re you will find his promises and his encouraging word.
Today be blessed chaplain Fernando Charles.

Take The Shield of Faith

Shield-of-Faith (2)

Text: Ephesians 6:10-16

Good morning Mighty Warriors of the Faith. I have asked this question, “how is your relationship with God”? The answer is always, “its great chaplain, I’m in the word and I pray all the time”! And in the same breath they say, “but I’m worried about this or that, or I can’t seem to quit this habit, I don’t think God is listening to me”. I’m beginning to see many who lack Faith. Faith is very important in the life of a Christian. In the dictionary the definition of “faith” is complete trust or confidence in someone or something, and a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Which leads us to Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”. So how do we keep the “Faith”?

Ephesians 6:10-16

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I want us to focus on the “shield of faith “.Lauren D’Alessandro states in her blog states that “The breast plate guards against a direct attack on your heart. But the shield of faith is a defensive weapon that protects you from the weapons of the enemy. But the difference between these two pieces of armor is that the shield is more directly linked to your relationship and level of intimacy with God”. I love this statement because it is so true, because any one can put on the belt of truth and breastplate of righteousness and have their feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. But without faith these things will not work. Because the peace that surpasses all understanding can only come from God, putting on the helmet of salvation can only come from God. God saves us not us. So the shield of faith is very important. How important you ask?

  1. Faith isn’t static. It becomes more beautiful and strong as time goes on.
  2. Faith yields good deeds or else it’s dead.
  3. What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. James 2:14-18 NIV
  4. Faith saves us.
  5. John 3:16, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
  6. Faith heals us.
  7. Faith in God shields us.
  8. 1 Peter 1:5,And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see”.
  9. As we go through the fire and our faith is in God, the fire, it refines us.
  10. Faith doesn’t just protect us from the arrows, it puts them out.
  11. O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, ‘God will not deliver him.’ But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. Psalm 3:1-3 NIV
  12. Faith is both an offensive and a defensive weapon.
  13. A small amount of faith can move mountains.

We must have faith in God, a working, moving relationship so that we will be fully equipped and ready for the battle.
