Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. 1 Peter 1:18 MSG

2015 in review

Let’s just Praise The Lord!  Woohoo.  All I want to do is show people how to follow God and have a great relationship with him despite of what is happening in their life.  And how to trust him fully.

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 5,900 times in 2015. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.

Walk In The Way of Love

walk in love

Yesterday we talked about being holy. Today I want to share with you our greatest example to live that type of life. You see a Christian is not a label that you wear, it’s not something that you put on one day and take off the other. Christianity is a way of life, because we follow Christ who is example. Read this verse with me,

Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV, “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God”.

We are so blessed to be able to have a great example as Jesus is. On how to live a holy life. Christ gave himself so that you and I could have access to God. Jesus even gives us the Great Commandment, which is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength. And says, the second is like this, love your neighbor as yourself. When we look at Christ’s life we see how much he loved the father, on many occasions we read and His Word how he would go off and pray. And yet another occasion we would see his great compassion for the people. If we want to be like Christ we must follow his example live on life serving him and others. Today it is my prayer that as you go through your day that you walk in the way of the Lord following the example of Christ, loving others and meeting their needs. No matter what you go through today always remember that God is with you. Blessings to you Chaplain Fernando Charles

You Are Holy

Today I want to share an encouraging word with you. Did you know that you and I are called to be holy. There are so many things in this world that can trap us, and stop us from doing what God has called us to do. But I’m here to tell you that if we only can stay focused on God in our lives we can be holy. Read this verse with me today,

1 Peter 1:13 ESV, [ Called to Be Holy ] “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ”.

By being clear in mind and having faith in God, and coming to him acknowlageing his as savior, and doing the work of the Lord we would be totally focused on him. Today let us prepare our minds to be totally focus on the Lord.

Pray:  Lord thank you for loving me, help me to be totally focused on you each and everday of my life.  Amen

Broken Plans

I don’t know about you, but have you ever made plans and all of a sudden the plans that you had did not fall through?  If that’s you then this encouragement is for you today. When I was younger I thought I had my life planned out, there was so many things that I wanted to do and so many things I wanted to accomplish. But if I was to write down what I wanted to do, all the things that would be on that list they would be marked off because I never accomplish those things. People often frustrates themselfs because they make plans and they never accomplish them. I want to share this verse with you today to encourage you about plans in your life, Psalm 37:23-24 (ESV) says, “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” I love the second part of this verse, there’s something that caught my eye and I want to show it to you so that you can be encouraged today. Though he fall, you see King David knows just as God knows that we will fall. But it’s what happens when we fall down that determines how we will be. Many people when they fall down in their sin they stay down because they feel trapped by their sin. But you must remember, Christ has defeated sin and we are no longer bound by sin. Because of Christ’s victory on the cross we can be free, so when we fall we must get right back up and continue in our steps that God is ordaining in our life. Because if we are following Christ he is the one leading the way. Today it is my prayer that you allow God to lead you in the direction that he wants you to go. Fully relying on him, and fully trusting in Him. Because when you give God everything, he will make you everything.
