21-23 Mark well that God dosen’t miss a move you make; he’s aware of every step you take. The shadow of your sin will overtake you; you’ll find yourself stumbling all over yourself in the dark. Death is the reward of an undisciplined life; your foolish decisions trap you in a dead-end.
I once had an awesome dog when I was younger. His name was Bullet and he was a Beagle, I loved my dog. I would walk him, feed him, take him a bath. He was my best friend, my dad and mom didn’t let me keep him in the house so I kept him chained up in the back yard. If you ever had a puppy you know that by having him outside tide up, you were going to have to keep an eye on him. I went back out after an hour and saw my poor dog wrapped up in the chain and all tangled up by his own doing. There are those who call themselves Christians who still do the old things they did before they came to Christ. Those things are motivated by self gain. We must remember Romans 12:1-2, “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you”. We must keep our focus on God, meditating on him daily, reading his word, and in prayer always. Today make it your effort to remain in God, with God we can do anything, without him we can do nothing. John 15:5
Pray: God thank you because you have come into my life. Help me to not go back to the way I used to be. Keep me in your hands, knowing that there is nothing in this world that can ever take me out of your hands. I praise you with my life, in all I do. Give me strength, wisdom, and power to share your word. Amen.
