Matthew 10:29-31 (MSG)

Forget About Yourself

29-31 “What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.

I have been asked, “Does my life really matter to God”, or “some have said, “I look all around me and I see everyone else and what they are doing and I can not compete with that, my life is so insignificant.  This reminds me so much of Moses.  He was called by God to set the people of God free.  But he gave every excuse not to do what God was calling him to do.  In Exodus chapter 3&4 we see his excuses to God, “But who am I to appear before Pharaoh”.  God saw in him great potential.  God see the same in us when he calls us.  because we feel so insignificant we prevent the Great things God can work through us.  We must remember who were are and who’s we are.  If we have given our heart to Jesus we are called “Sons of God”.  We are his children and we look like him.  Genesis 1:27, “God created man in His own image”.  God cares for you and we should never feel insignificant.   God knows you even before you were born.  Jeremiah 1:5, ““Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you.  Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations—that’s what I had in mind for you.”

Today know you are very valuable to God, you are his precious child.  Walk around knowing you can do great and mighty things in His name.

Pray:  God when the spirit of insignificance tries to bring me down help me to know I’m so valuable in your eyes.  Your love for us is great and we thank you for that.  Bless us today in Jesus name, Amen.
