Have Faith Don’t Doubt!

1 John 1:9 (NIV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow! I really messed up this time, God will never forgive me”.  You know, On Our Journey With God, the enemy loves to try to throw “Doubt” in our walk to trip us and make us fall. Psalm 144:6, “Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them. Today, don’t let satan bring you down, God’s promise is faithful and will forgive our sin if we confess it to him. Don’t doubt yourself, trust in God and know that nothing can take you out of his hand.

Pray:  God thank you for loving me, and keeping me safe. Thank you for your loving mercy that you give to me every day. And even when I fall your there to pick me up. Help me not to doubt you today. Amen!

Proverb Saturday!

Proverbs 28:13 (NLT)

13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper,
but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

Did you know that we are all sinners?  Romans 3:23, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard”.  You see we all sin, and we need to confess our sins, Psalm 66:18, “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened”.  Our Proverb is telling us not to Conceal our sins, why?  Because we will never prosper we will stay the same and we will never receive God’s mercy.  Today, God can save you, he can take you from the place where you are and put you in better places only if you let him.  Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.

Pray:  God thank you for saving me. I choose to believe in you.  Today I want to tell you that I have sinned and I will confess each one to you.  Forgive me because I am a sinner, but forgive me of all my sins.  When others see me, don’t let them see my imperfections but the Greatness of you shining on me.  Amen!

Overcoming Faith!

1 John 5:4 (MSG)

Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.

Have you ever felt as if the world is on your shoulders?  Tired drained, maybe you have      lost  your passion for Christ.  I know sometimes I feel overwhelmed by life.  I’m here to tell you today that God’s promises are here for the takeing.  I encourage you to read God’s word and allow him to change your way of thinking.  You see God has overcome the word, so therefore the world can never overcome His children.  Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.  Our faith is greater than the world.  Today walk with your head up high knowing that God’s not dead He’s still Alive!  He has won the victory and the enemy can not over come you.

Pray:  God remind me today of your promise that because you have Overcome the world I have Victory in you!  Thank you for you Son who died for me. Amen!

Be Flavorful!

Matthew 5:13 (NIV)

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltyness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Just recently I went to the Doctor, for a health issue.  Needless to say I have been put on a crazy strict diet and she cut salt out.  My reaction was like “Really”!  But salt brings so much flavor to the food I eat.  It takes it from the level of being bland and boring to awesome and tasty.  Our verse today is just that, Jesus is telling us as christians we are the flavor of the earth.  Sometimes we lose our flavor, we have Christ in our heart, but yet we remain flavorless when it comes to helping others in need, we are not as forgiving as Christ was, so forgiving to us.  Today, and everyday let us be flavorful,  and let that wonderful flavor of Jesus come out of you and fall on those who need Jesus so badly.

Pray:  God thank you for making me so flavorful.  Change my heart and let you shine forth from my life so others can see your love. Amen!

Be A Cheerful Giver!

2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

If you don’t know me I like to expose misconceptions.  Giving is a big one for me, yes I believe we should tithe because our giving helps the ministry and God will bless you, but this is not just talking bout money.  There are so many other things we can give.  For one we can give of our time to help others.  There are so many things we can do to help others in need.  This takes us to the golden rule, John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. There are so many people in need, and we have the resources to help.  Today, as you decide how you plan to give back to God, do it with a cheerful heart.

Pray:  God give me a cheerful heart today to give, in whatever way you want me to do that.  Fill my heart with love, and lead me to those in need. Amen!

Proverb Saturday!

I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths”.

I remember when I was a kid, my mom would always warn me about different things.  Because I was a teenager, I had this belief that I was invincible.  I would often times just let her words in one ear and out the other.  And every time my mom was right! You would think I would listen the next time she would tell me, but I never did and often times I experienced tough situations because I did not trust the instruction of my mother.  You know this is how we are with God.  God’s way is the best for us, Psalm 27:11, “Teach me Your way, O Lord. Lead me in a straight path, because of those who fight against me”.  David knew that God’s way was the best, you know God’s way is the best.  Today, this weekend, next week, from now on Listen to God, his wisdom exceeds our small way of thinking.  God is a Great God and he will direct your path on your “Journey with Him”.

Pray:  God, you way is the best way.  I want you to direct my paths and to count every moment.  Teach me to number my days, so that every day I spend it with family friends and In you.  Amen!

Ask, Seek, Knock! Pt. 3

Matthew 7:7 (NIV)

Ask, Seek, Knock

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Have you ever gone to the house of a friend unannounced?  You stood at their door and you knocked or rang the door bell?  It was maybe 98 degrees in the shade and you desperately wanted for them to answer cause it was so hot outside?  Did your wait for them which seemed like forever?  Let’s say you even got out your cell phone and called them to let them know you were at the front door and no one answered, and you knocked and knocked but no friend.  Then what seemed like hours your friend opened the door.  This is like us when we pray, our prayer is knocking on Heaven’s door.  When we are desperately asking God, when we are desperately seeking God, and when we are desperately knocking for God to open the doors of heaven.  If we are doing this with a whole heart this is the prayer God loves to hear his children pray.  With their whole heart.  Today are you going through tough times?  Is their something or someone you know who needs prayer?  Ask, Seek, and Knock on God’s door with your prayer that comes from your heart.  He will answer your every need.

Pray:  Thank you God for answering Prayer.  Your word tells us you listen to your children.  Guide me in my life.  I pray for my family member and my loved ones.  Use me and mold me they way you want me to be.  Amen!

Ask, Seek, Knock! Pt.2

Matthew 7:7  (NIV)
Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

When we pray we communicate with God.  Seek and you will find, you know when we are looking for something and we cannot find it, we desperately seek it.  When it comes to prayer our heart is in it and this is the prayer that God prefers.  We desperately seek so many things in our life and we are looking for them on purpose.  When we pray for these things we desperately seek or whole heart is in seeking. God will help us find what it is were seeking.  Today as you pray for what you seek, new life, a changed heart, what ever it is that you seek, God will help you find it, because your mind is in it.

Pray:  God I desperately seek many things in my life.  I’m desperately seeking your love and your guidance in my life.  Today I put my life in your hands, bless me as I seek you! Amen!

Ask, Seek, Knock! Pt.1

Matthew 7:7 (NLT)

Effective Prayer

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for”.

Yesterday we looked at praying for one another.  Today my scripture reading was here in Matthew 7.  Prayer is and should be constant with us to the Father.  When we follow Jesus’ ministry we find him always stepping aside to pray and he urges the Disciples to pray also with him.  Prayer is important, and if we are asking God for something we should keep asking till he answers in his way. Weather the answer is yes or no we keep praying till that end.  When I read this it tell me God loves communicating with us.  Today what ever it is you are praying for and you have not received an answer keep praying.  God hasn’t given up on you He’s waiting for the right time, His wonderful time to answer your prayer.  Psalm 66:20, “Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me”!

Pray:  God thank you for listening to my prayers.   Everything is in your timing, help me to be patient and to wait on you.  Thank you for your promise that if we pray with a sincere heart you will answer our prayer.  You are a great God, Amen!
