Pray About Everything
4-5Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute! 6-7Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. 8-9Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
Life can be pretty tough sometimes; we work so hard to accomplish so many neat and wonderful things. We grow up dreaming of “The American Dream”. But life is of, its own, life happens. In life there are good times and bad times, in life there are tough days and there are easy days. And we are never ready for what life throws at us. But! We have a God who is so great. A God that is so loving. He protects us, watches over us, provides for us, He never leaves us, a God who Died for Us! The apostle Paul knew this and he of all people knew what suffering really meant. In our scripture today Paul is telling us to “REJOICE!”. Not just in the good times, but in those times when it is so tough, so hard to get up, so hard to do the things we do. Even in those times we should rejoice. And through this attitude of “joyfulness” in our lives others will see it and will marvel at the very thing that makes us so happy and will want the same in their life. We should not worry or fret for anything, because for the one who trusts in the Lord is aware of his presence. This is why we should not worry for anything, not even for the future. Instead Pray About Everything, we should be willing to make our needs known to the Lord in prayer and trust that his answer will be the correct one. Trusting in God snuffs out anxiety peace of mind. He will Guard our hearts from all the anxieties and worries of this world. Through Jesus Christ all this takes place as a result of our connection with him. Rely on God and trust in Him and he will walk along side you through this thing called life.
Alway remember “You can do all things through Christ who gives you Strength”. Philippians 4:13
Prayer: God you are the giver of Life. Everything that happens in our life is according to your plans. Help us not to worry so much about things that come our way, but to trust and rely on you fully every day, every hour, every minuet. Your plans for us are not to destroy us but to prosper us, and to give us a future and Hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) Help us to remember your plan is the best for us because you know us. Thank you for all the blessings you give us everyday. In Jesus name we pray! Amen..
